Wabash Arts Corridor Tour

Join the Society of Art & History at Columbia College Chicago on a guided tour of the South Loop’s renowned public street art.

Begins 4:00pm at the Student Engagement Hub, 1st floor of 600 S Michigan Ave.

Political Disruption: In a city with a culture as diverse as Chicago, public street art transcends aesthetic visuals and enters the realm of protest. The Wabash Arts Corridor, launched by Columbia College Chicago in 2013, is home to such. Comprised of numerous murals that disrupt everyday moments with political commentary, the artists confront us with the question: How do we interpret these pieces and engage with the discourse that art intrinsically invites us into?
