Connect with College Advising, the Dean of Students Office, Columbia Central, and the Career Center to discuss and inquire about their numerous resources. Programming is optional for guests.

5:30 – 5:50 P.M. CST | EngageColumbia Scholarship Announcement

Join New Student Programs for a virtual announcement of the EngageColumbia scholarship recipients and learn more about Engage 101 and Engage 2.0 programs.

6 – 8 P.M. CST | Chicago Trivia with Student Organizations & Leadership

Join the Student Organizations & Leadership for Chicago-themed trivia and the chance to win prizes from ShopColumbia, Columbia’s art boutique.

7 – 8 P.M. CST | Acoustic Kitchen

Tune into a livestream featuring talented student musicians and singers from the Columbia College Chicago community. This event series is hosted by Dave Dolak from the Science and Mathematics Department.

Interested in getting an internship? Come learn about what to start doing now to be in the best position when you apply. We will explore how build your resume and experience, when to do an internship, and what employers are looking for when recruiting for internships. All students, parents, and guests are welcome!

12 – 1 P.M. CST | The Academic Experience

Hear from the Provost and Join faculty from your student’s department for insight into the curriculum, internship opportunities, and career paths within our programs.

2 - 3 P.M. CST | Chat Session: Campus Safety and Security

Join our Campus Security's Operations Manager, James Belin, for a conversation about security measures on Columbia’s campus.

3 – 4 P.M. CST | Chat Session: Tapping into a Creative Community

Learn about the various ways to engage with creative communities and student organizations through programming and events. Facilitated by the Student Organizations and Leadership Office, this panel of current students will provide a chance to discuss all that Columbia has to offer.

3 – 4 P.M. CST| Chat Session: Explore Your Campus. Engage with the City.

Chicago is our campus. We encourage our students to engage with the creativity, diversity, contradictions, and complexities the city represents. Meet students who have learned to navigate around the city and collaborate within it. Moderated by Student Diversity and Inclusion.

4 - 5 P.M. CST | Chat Session: Wellness & Athletics

Students need balance to be successful in both academics and life in general. Finding synergy between body and mind in the college experience can be challenging at first. We encourage all students to work towards staying focused by living healthy, active lifestyles. Join this panel discussion with students about campus athletics and wellness resources that help students find their balance between life in the classroom and beyond!

4 - 5 P.M. CST | Chat Session: Make Your Mark with DEPS

An extension of the studios and classrooms, DEPS fosters vibrant environments for students to interact, exchange ideas and showcase their work within the larger urban community. Join DEPS staff as they chat with current Columbia students about their experiences and how they have utilized campus resources. Moderated by The Department of Exhibition and Performance Spaces (DEPS).
