Love You, Love Your Work: 2026 Foundations Exhibition celebrates the creative talent emerging from our foundation courses across campus and highlights many of our newest students at Columbia College Chicago.

Spanning across three on-campus galleries, C33 and Glass Curtain feature faculty-nominated student works in drawing, sculpture, illustration, photography, video, and sound, while Hokin Gallery features faculty-nominated works by students from areas across the college, including dance, fashion, video game design, digital animation, interior architecture, and more. More than 150 works were nominated by faculty in the School of Visual Arts and the School of Design, along with others.

Love You, Love Your Work is the first endeavor of its kind at Columbia College Chicago and is intended to become an annual event.

“We’re so excited to showcase our students’ creative work from their foundational courses in an all-campus, public exhibition. The faculty united around the chance to recognize the outstanding exploratory work our students achieve in mediums that, to many of them, are completely new. That kind of fearless open-mindedness our students bring into the classroom is worth celebrating.” Heather Mekkelson, Assistant Professor of Instruction in Foundations and Fine Arts, School of Visual Arts, Columbia College Chicago

The exhibition runs from April 6 to April 25, 2026, with an opening reception in all three galleries on April 9, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Galleries are open Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
