The Inspirational Life of Adam Jones

Join School of Film and Television in honoring the remarkable life and enduring legacy of our beloved faculty member, Adam Jones. We invite you to a memorial screening on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Columbia College Chicago, 1104 South Wabash Avenue beginning at 6:30pm in Film Row Cinema.

About Adam Jones: Adam was more than a Professor of Cinematography. He was a guiding light in the lives of those he taught and worked with. His passion for teaching and his mastery of cinematic arts left an indelible mark on everyone who walked into his classroom. Adam's dedication to nurturing future filmmakers helped transform Columbia’s program into a nationally acclaimed hub of cinematographic excellence.

Memorial Screening: The screening will showcase a collection of Adam's work, as a cinematographer as well as his contributions as a gaffer. This gathering will be a time for reflection, sharing memories, and celebrating Adam's extraordinary contributions to our community.

Support the Adam Jones Cinematography Scholarship: In memory of Adam, we are establishing the Adam Jones Cinematography Scholarship to continue his legacy of inspiring and supporting aspiring cinematographers. Our goal is to launch this scholarship with a seed fund of $25,000 to help students who exhibit the same passion and dedication that Adam championed. All contributions are tax-deductible.
