Voting is about more than selecting candidates, it is one way to advocate for yourself and the communities you care about.

Join Peer Educators and Columbia Votes for an interactive workshop exploring how issues such as housing, public transit, arts funding, safety, education, healthcare, employment, and community voice affect our lives as Columbia students and Chicago residents. You will reflect on the issues that matter most to you, contribute to a community priorities map, and consider whose voices and needs are often left out of public decision-making.

Columbia Votes will also provide practical, nonpartisan support with voter registration, eligibility questions, important deadlines, early voting, mail ballots, and creating a personal voting plan.

No prior knowledge is needed, and no one will tell you how to vote. Come ready to connect, reflect, and make a plan for participating in your community.
