Intro to Sewing Workshop - Kickstart Your Skills Before Fall! (Fri Aug 1)

If you are new to sewing and enrolled in the fashion studies program, this is the workshop you'll need and love to kick start your skills ahead of the Fall Semester!

You will learn the basics of threading and using industrial sewing machines, practice stitching fabric together using multiple seam styles and skills, install zippers.

Many students come to school with limited or no sewing experience, this workshop is designed for you! It's also a great refresher for those who may have home sewing experience. Students who have taken this "boot camp workshop" have gained confidence in their abilities, and are more successful in their courses - especially Pattern and Construction I and II.

This is an all-day workshop, from 9:30am - 4pm, and includes all necessary supplies. Lunch is provided.

If you have your own tools that you would like to bring, you are welcome to do so.

A waiver must be signed in order to use equipment, and the workshop will begin with a required orientation of the fashion lab facilities. If you have your student ID issued, please bring it along!
