Calling ALL Students for Student Gov't!
Hi All!
We are looking for New Senators and Voices to sit at our Student Government General Assembly Meetings. These meetings are a great way to get involved and have your voice heard on our campus.
Since the start of Student Government here at Columbia, SGA aims to represent the students' voices and endeavors to construct a more perfect union. We serve as a liaison between the faculty, staff, administration, and students of our college. If you have ever seen something wrong within our school and wanted to change it, this would be the perfect position for you. We have lots of options for senators including Academic and Community Senators. Academic senators will work within their academic majors. For example, if you are an Acting Major, you will represent the Theatre Academic Department. Community Senators represent the community as a whole. Some example positions are LGBTQIA+ Senator, Honors Students Senator, and All Grade Level Specific Senators (1st Year, 2nd Year...). We would love to have you at our next meeting even if you are just interested and still unsure, please stop by!
Our meetings are on Tuesday nights weekly from 5 PM - 6 PM in the Student Center Boardroom. The boardroom is on the second floor (up the main stairs in the lobby) and on the left side of the building by the Student Life office.
