About Us
As the fellow members of Proud Artists of Native/Indigenous Communities, we intend to promote Native/Indigenous cultures, traditions, and identities. We acknowledge the presence of Native/Indigenous students on campus as well as surrounding Native/Indigenous communities in the Chicago area. We also acknowledge that the Columbia College institution is built on Native land. We, the members of Proud Artists of Native/Indigenous Communities, aim to provide a space for Native and Indigenous students to actively identify themselves and take pride in their identity and culture as we fight for the return of our land. As an organization representing an undervalued community within America as a whole, we do not discriminate against race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, religion, and so forth.
