Hello and welcome!
We're looking forward to meeting all of you at the Music Connections event on Friday, September 2 in the Music Center, 1014 S. Michigan. This will be your opportunity to meet Music Faculty and other students and ask any questions you might still have. The day starts with a faculty presentation in the Music Center Concert Hall (1st Floor) at 9:30am, followed by Q & A sessions from 10:15-10:45am. We are asking all students to fill out this form to let us know if you're attending. All students should adhere to the college's Covid policy, Covid Policy for fall of 2022. Students can now RSVP for their connection session on the Engage Portal.

From 11am to noon we will have several jam sessions going on simultaneously in the Music Center – all instrumentalists should bring their instruments. (You will sign up for a jam session that morning.) We hope to cover all stylistic persuasions for both vocalists and instrumentalists. We will provide pianos/keyboards, guitar and bass amps and drum sets. Anything else – guitars, horns, etc. – you will need to bring. If you play electric guitar or bass, please also bring a patch cord. Drummers, please bring your stick bag or at least one set of drumsticks.
There will also be a large jam just for vocalists. No need to sign up, just bring your pipes. Composition coordinator Ilya Levinson will be leading a Composition Workshop. Instruments will be very useful there as well, so bring them along!
We look forward to seeing you in a few weeks! You can check out our videos here.
Best, Bill
