I have the perfect movie for you, if you like action movies that you can’t take too seriously. Shotgun Wedding stars the multi talented Jenneifer Lopez as Darcy and a man who tends to fly under the radar Josh Duhamel as Tom. This movie is a fun watch that has some clever laughs sprinkled along the way to lighten the mood. The cast also includes Jennifer Coolidge, Lenny Kravitz and a few other familiar names that make this a cast worth watching. The story takes place on an island by Bora Bora, and goes through the wedding celebration of Darcy and Tom, but the event is taken over by pirates before the wedding begins. It is then an action comedy that follows the bride and groom as they are forced to fight their way away from the pirates and save their wedding guest. This movie has many twists and turns that I didn't see coming but my roommate who is a film major guessed right away. So for those who like to know how the movie plays out in real time I recommend watching it without guessing the ending. This movie does have predictable moments and lacks some of the entertainment value you would expect with this cast. In all fairness I enjoyed this movie and think that it is worth watching at least once. Of course Jennifer Cooliadge as the groom's mother, was given the most comedic lines that she executed perfectly and changed the tone of the film to be more playful.
