The end of the Spring semester is near, Columbia! With just a couple more weeks left of the school year we are getting ready for all things spring! But first, if you need some end-of-the-year motivation to get all of your assignments in order, look no further:
Don't be afraid to assemble a study group! Hold yourself and all of your friends accountable by going to the library, a coffee shop, or a dorm to finish your assignments. It can be nice to goof off for a couple of minutes for a break, but don't forget you're there to work hard. Plus, bouncing some ideas off with your friends can always lead to greatness.
Schedule your study time. Right now, take out your phone or agenda and find at least two hours in the week that you can dedicate to studying. You don't need to skip out on end-of-the-year parties or last-minute hangouts, as long as you keep your schedule in line. You can keep your social calendar, but be realistic about when your time to lock in is.
Study timers! Most phones have a setting where you can lock yourself out of any non-essential apps for a short period of time to truly focus. Take advantage of this! Instagram can wait for an hour or two, I promise you it will be the same after you finish studying.
On top of all of this don't forget about registration for Fall semester 2025! The first time slots started yesterday, April 28th. You can head to RegLab in the student center this week with any questions you might have.
And finally when all of your assignments are turned in, Manifest 2025 will be here! Be sure to register to attend any showcases you’re interested in, get your tickets and get ready to see the work of your fellow Columbia students. Don’t forget to stop by the MakerSpace in the Student Center to get your official Manifest T-shirt!
Finally, enjoy the last few weeks of your semester Columbia, you’ve worked so hard and come so far! Spend time with friends, share your work, have fun and finish strong. Congratulations class of 2025, you did it!
