Introducing TechBar and Digital Print Center!

Columbia is proud to annouce our new TechBar! TechBar is a hotspot to find the solution to all and any techincal issues a student may be having. Located on the first floor of the 623 S. Wabash building, TechBar staff are there 9am-5pm weekdays to help combat software issues. 

TechBar's services include:
  • Office 365 – Help downloading and installing Office 365
  • Email – Assistance with access to Columbia Email via Outlook on the web
  • DUO – Assistance with enrolling in the DUO Multi-Factor Authentication process
  • Password Management – Help resetting and recovering Office 365 password
  • Adobe – Help activating, downloading, and installing Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Wireless Access – Help connecting to the college network
  • VPN – Help installing Global Protect
  • VDI – Help installing VMware Horizon Client
  • Zoom & Teams - Assistance with installation and quick tutorials
  • Canvas – Quick tutorials on using Columbia's LMS
  • Panopto - Quick tutorials on accessing Panopto in Canvas
  • Print Service – Help sending print jobs from a laptop or phone to print stations
  • Equipment Lending – Providing short-term loans of Google Chromebooks and chargers (Lenovo and Apple) to support students' academic needs 
  • TeamDynamix - Submiting an online tech support ticket on behalf of students 
  • Other Basic Support - Diagnosing and performing basic computer troubleshooting: software and hardware 
Stop by the 623 S Wabash building Monday, Sept. 19th, 2022 and Tuesday, Sept. 20th, 2022 from 11am-4pm for an open house! Meet the TechBar staff and learn about all of the new things Columbia can offer you!

As well as the introduction to our TechBar, Columbia is offering the open house to familiarize yourself with the Digital Print Center's upgraded services and printers. The DPC offers industry-standard equipment that can better meet your printing needs, as well as personalized service from faculty, staff, and student employees. Additional amenities and services include:  
  • Nine new state-of-the-art printers.  
  • Ability to print in a variety of formats such as contour-cut stickers, business cards, posters, perfect-bound books, saddle-stitched books, archival museum quality inkjet printing, UV printing, window clings, vinyl, floor vinyl, PhotoTex, fabric, and more!   
  • Trained staff of student workers who can assist with design and printing.  
  • Ability to make appointments with staff to help with printing and design needs.  
  • High-volume copy requests and large, complex printing projects.
