Happy Women’s History Month!! This month is all about appreciating and giving thanks to the important women in our life. Many do not know that each year Women’s History Month is assigned a theme, and this year the theme is, “moving forward together”. This theme is meant to highlight and support women who have dedicated their lives to education, mentorship and leadership to guide the next generation. This month of recognition is so important because as a country we can not forget how hard women fought to get to the place we are at now, as how far we have come as a society. There are many things you can do to celebrate and give a special thanks to to the women in your life, or women you’ve never met before. You could seek out media created by women, authors, directors, musicians, actresses, and give more attention to female centered stories. You can let the women around you know how much they mean to you, and even a simple compliment can change somebody’s day. And remember, empowered women empower the world!
