When it comes to finding your community, it can be very hard to take the first step. Meeting new people can be harrowing and seeing groups that don’t resemble you can be very defeating. Here at Columbia, we cherish community and togetherness. There are various clubs around campus that could be the perfect match for you. Asian Student Organization: @asocolumbia A student Organization dedicated to building a positive community for Asian/Asian Americans. Producing the ability to network and build cultural awareness. ASL Club: @cccaslclub A student organization centered around the beloved Deaf and Hard Hearing community including people who use ASL and other signed languages at any level.
Black Student Union: @ccc_bu Student organization that provides and promotes the unity of black/African-American students at Columbia College Chicago. This group focuses on bringing culture to Columbia and serve as a voice for black students and to establish a sense of identity, community, and pride. Body
Haven: @bodyhaven_ccc Club dedicated to creating safe, supportive, and informative space for individuals at Columbia College Chicago that fall outside of societal body norms, paying special attention to body positivity and the fat liberation movement.
Brotherhood Initiative (BI): Establishes a community where male - identifying students of color can network, mentor, and encourage each other to reach academic and leadership success.
Chinese Student & Scholar Association: This organization helps away-from-home Chinese students in their life, study, work, etc to bring Columbia students together on campus. As well as spreading Chinese culture.
Coalition of Female Creators: @columbiacfc A supportive and creative space for women across majors to collaborate with resources on and off campus. Their mission is to expand networks, hone professional skills, and enjoy female-focused environments.
Columbia XA: @columbia_xa This organization’s mission is to build a citywide community of authentic student disciple-Makers in order to impact the world with the Heart and Love of Christ.
International Students and Scholar Services: @isss_columbiacollege This organization brings international and non-international students together for weekly hangouts and events, while also providing resources like I-20s for students.
J.A.M Japanese Anime and Manga club: @ccc.j.a.m
This organization watches and discusses Anime and Manga in their weekly meetings.
Latino Alliance: @ccclatinoalliance Latino Alliance serves the Columbia College community by emphasizing social consciousness and the empowerment of a people and culture.
