As temperatures begin to drop, Columbia’s Humanities, History and Social Sciences department is collecting warm and clean coats, hats, and gloves for asylum seeking newcomers and unhoused people living outside the police stations in the South Loop. Coats and cold weather clothing of any size are appreciated, as they’ll be needed by children of all ages and adults.
The drive will be held from now until Thursday, November 30th. Please bring your items to the two donation boxes located in the Library and 624 S Michigan Avenue, 10th floor (by the HHSS department entrance).
