I’ve already concluded that given the last year and a half, all we can ever do is take it day by day. One thing that I feel I’ve always known in theory is that change is the one thing we can be sure of, but I didn’t fully understand and put this into practice until this past year. Like everyone else, my plans have and continue to be flip flopped on a daily basis, and I am forced to be flexible. This is why taking it day by day is so essential. This isn’t only essential to implement in trying times, but I would argue even more in the daily life we’re used to from pre-Covid. What Covid has taught me, and I’m sure all of us, is the power of the present moment. Covid forcibly put us in the present moment, but it also taught me how to actively put myself in it while I am back in my normal routine. Placing myself in the present moment allows me to ultimately find more value and enjoyment in my life, to live fully in each day and the opportunities that are possible. It allows you to put more effort into each task that presents itself within any given day because you’re only focusing on what you’re presently doing. I would encourage everyone to take it day by day and engage in the present moment because it really will make your moments that much more precious and worthwhile.
Yours truly,
CiCi
