Mission Statement - Cadre is a student organization designed to offer performance opportunities to student composers beyond the standard academic program in the Columbia College Chicago Music Department. In all its activities, Cadre is designed to further an overall appreciation for music within a viable artistic community.
Members of Cadre will have opportunities to have their works performed by student and/or professional musicians, receive feedback from their peers on works in progress, have the opportunity to collaborate with other musicians and composers, as well as step outside of their comfort zones and listen to and play music from a wide variety of styles.
